Fund-raising benefit on behalf of the Foundation for the Promotion of Social Pediatrics at the Salon Passion Chocolat
Montreal - October 15th 2009

The Decanted Series and the Salon Passion Chocolat are joining forces to present a unique evening of entertainment.
The Salon Passion Chocolat & Cie is back for its fifth edition and event organizers are promising aficionados a chocolate covered encore in an entirely new venue! Next November 20, 21 and 22, the Salon Passion Chocolat & Cie will take up residence at Montreal’s Marché Bonsecours where the ambiance, both urban and pastoral, is friendlier and better suited to new discoveries and experiences.

Friday, November 20 is World Children’s Rights Day, as well as the 20th anniversary of the signing of the International Agreement on Children’s Rights. The Decanted Series will therefore host a very special event on behalf of the Foundation for the Promotion of Social Pedriatics, an organization founded by Dr. Gilles Julien. Guests at this event will partake of an aperitif from the Quebec terroir, a four-course chocolate-inspired meal prepared by renowned chef Éric Gonzales (Restaurant Laloux), a wine-tasting with famous sommelier, Guénaël Revel, a fashion show by local designers introducing their chocolate collection and last, but by no means least, a concert by unplugged nomad Coyotzin.

Fanatics, connaisseurs, amateurs, and Epicureans alike are therefore invited to join us at Montreal’s Marché Bonsecours on Friday, November 20, for a memorable evening.

Tickets:
Tickets for this event are available on the Decanted Series website at www.seriedecantee.com or by phone at the Articulée box-office at 514-844-2172 or 1-866-844-2172. Cost per ticket is $160. You will be given a $50 receipt for tax purposes.

About Guénaël Revel:

Historian and sommelier by profession, Guénaël Revel studied history of art at the Louvre School in Paris before moving on to oenology at the University of Bordeaux. He settled in Quebec in 1995 and worked as sommelier in several Montreal establishments (Winnie’s, Churchill, Hôtel Germain) up until 2002. Wine columnist, member of international juries at various wine competitions and President of CAPS (Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers) from 2002 to 2006, he has authored numerous reference books on wines and champagne; he also co-hosts the "Champagne !" show on Canal Évasion in Quebec since April 2008.

About Éric Gonzales:

Éric Gonzalez has yet to reach 40. Yet, his experience, achievements, and creativity are unanimously acclaimed by gourmets, critics and journalists ever since he set foot in Montreal in 2000. His Mediterranean accent is a dead giveaway of the Provençal food lover who admits to a certain inclination towards modern cuisine, developed from basic traditional flavours and textures. For it’s a well-known fact that Éric Gonzalez’ cuisine is as pleasing to the eye as to the palate. His cuisine is reminiscent of a handful of the greatest chefs.

About Coyotzin:

Coyotzin, born of an underwater musical dream, a high priest of aquatic, supernatural resonance. His artifice is an impulse of ancient arts far beyond the secret nature of the matter. His musical knowledge is a subtle entity that envelops and is in turn enveloped by the elements and the roads and inways of the universe, transformed into magic instruments and accessories.
